Istituto di Neuroscienze: Training Site for Massachusetts General Hospital Residents
In August 2023, the Istituto di Neuroscienze (Florence, Italy) directed by Dr. Stefano Pallanti, was appointed by the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) ― the teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School ― as a training site for its medical residents' elective activities.
This prestigious initiative holds great importance for the Istituto di Neuroscienze, as it confirms its international recognition as a Pioneering Center for Neuromodulation Therapies and underscores its growing influence in the fields of Neuroscience and specialized medical education.
We are proud to have been chosen by the Massachusetts General Hospital as a training site for their medical residents. This recognition reaffirms the excellence of our work and our ongoing commitment to promoting innovation in the field of neuroscience.
The first training program organized in collaboration with the Massachusetts General Hospital occurred in August 2023 and was attended by Dr. Laura Marengo, psychiatric resident physician at MGH.
Over the weeks spent at the Istituto di Neuroscienze in Florence, Dr. Marengo received comprehensive theoretical and practical training directly from Dr. Pallanti and his Team, focusing on the use of Neuromodulation Therapies. This provided her with the opportunity to acquire advanced and specialized skills in the use of these techniques for the treatment of various neuropsychiatric disorders.
