Neuroscience Center for Health

The Neuroscience Center for Health (Centro di Neuroscienze per la Salute), located at the Zucchi Wellness Clinic and directed by Dr. Stefano Pallanti, provides treatments for addiction recovery and improving Sports performance. The Center offers treatment approaches that translate the latest neuroscientific evidence into effective and well-tolerated therapeutic activities, validated by international scientific literature.

Situated in the center of Monza (Italy) in a completely renovated historic building spanning over 3,000 square meters, Zucchi Wellness Clinic is the Istituti Clinici Zucchi facility that hosts multi-specialty outpatient clinics with personalized services dedicated to the whole family.

The facility, located at Via Appiani n.17, offers a holistic health experience encompassing body and mind, with a focus on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.

Available services

Treatment of Addictions

The Center is dedicated to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of Substance Addiction: nicotine ― alcohol ― cocaine ― cannabis.

Moreover, the therapeutic services provided by the Center focus specifically on the treatment of Behavioral Addictions: gambling disorder ― internet addiction ― pornography ― eating disorders ― binge eating ― obesity (over-eating).

Addiction is a clinical condition that can be treated by providing support to individuals who have chosen to change, improving decision-making processes, emotional balance, and inhibitory control. Aiding the recovery of brain plasticity from the compulsive rigidity of addiction allows individuals to experience a different self-perception, where reduced importance of the attraction factor is associated with greater emotional and behavioral control. All this by incorporating neuromodulation into the therapeutic context, an effective, non-pharmacological, non-invasive treatment with easy application and no side effects, that stimulates neurogenesis, brain metabolic processes, and repair. As brain plasticity increases, there is an improvement in sensory, perceptual, and cognitive processes.

The effectiveness of Neuromodulation Therapies lies in precise diagnosis and personalized holistic care. Neuromodulation Therapy increases neural plasticity and is capable of promoting a rebalance of dysfunctional brain circuits.

Neuroscience for Sports

The Center also hosts the Neuroscience for Sports service, aimed both at athletes and enthusiasts. The brain represents the most important tool for the development of maximum sports ability and performance, as it can optimize performance and facilitate the free expression of abilities.

The program involves a careful medical evaluation combined with the definition of neurofunctional parameters, which are useful for establishing personalized goals. Within this context, neuromodulation can optimize sports performance.

The goals of the Sports Neuroscience Service include:

  • Improvement of attentional skills;

  • Specific improvement of sports and motor performance;

  • Management of performance anxiety and improvement of performance under stress;

  • Post-match functional recovery;

  • Damage prevention and rehabilitation of concussions;

  • Improvement of sleep quality in order to optimize performance.
